Using organizational network analysis and interviews with executives, shows that purpose is only one factor; the level and quality of interpersonal collaboration actually has the greatest impact on employee engagement . In this article, we’ll explore why collaboration has this effect and what behaviors you can take and practice to cultivate it. The authors of this survey conducted the research on which this article is based in two phases over the past decade in alliance with two leading organizations.
